A purpose-built, new-build nursery delivered on the site of a former pub that was destroyed by fire.

Working collaboratively with the project architect, we provided interior design services and developed spatial layouts to support a nurturing, play-focused learning environment. The design reflects the client’s strong emphasis on outdoor play and connection to nature. Each of the six teaching spaces was individually designed with its own colour identity and a unique bespoke play feature, creating memorable and engaging environments for children. All rooms were thoughtfully named after bird species, with the youngest children’s spaces inspired by smaller birds, reinforcing a cohesive concept rooted in nature. Light, airy interiors, complemented by timber doors and joinery, further strengthen the natural material palette and overall sense of warmth and wellbeing throughout the nursery.
