A new single storey side extension was designed to replace an existing single storey garage, creating an open plan kitchen dining and living space that connects out to the garden. The project includes a new kitchen, utility, guest WC and a re-configured entrance hall, with careful refurbishment of the original art deco features of the house.
The new kitchen is designed as a bespoke galley kitchen with a direct view out to the clients apple tree in the garden via a glass ‘up and over’ skylight in the façade and roof. Externally the new extension is clad in Siberian Larch, which will gently weather over time into a soft silvery colour, as it settles in to the house and garden.
